TODA
(20/9/24)
It's been quite an evening. One of G's recent outings with her 4get-me-not group was to the Theatre of Digital Art (TODA). Their current main experience is "Being Van Gogh" which is more his life story, spoken by an actor. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the letters that Vincent wrote to his brother Theo and seeing his paintings fill the room. Two of the things mentioned were "sulphur yellow" and "cobalt blue". It just reinforced Vincent Van Gogh's love for vivid/intense colours.
We went with Diane and had to grab a bite before the show. Diane wanted the Noodle House, but we couldn't get in as we hadn't booked a table (!!). We then tried McGettigan's, but they were having a big refurbishment and were only serving drinks as their kitchen was closed. (Honestly). We then tried Mezzanine but that was deemed too expensive, so we went back up to the main area and a guy promoting a Lebanese restaurant managed to lure us into his establishment. By this stage, we had less than 50 minutes to order, eat and get back to the theatre. Incredibly, we managed it. I have to say, the food was delicious and the portions were just right. We didn't waste anything and the generous waiter threw in a portion of Luqaimat - a local dessert.
