Achiever of the year

Our AGM, never the most exciting day but definitely a day of celebration for some.

Long service awards presented, it became time for our achiever of the year, essentially one of our beneficiaries who has made the most progress in terms of their disability.

Well,, Mr K contracted polio as a child, so his left leg was significantly disabled. Some time later he was in an accident that caused additional physical limitations. Sadly after his wife passed away, he experienced a stroke.

Despite all of that and, with the help of our home based care ladies, he has recovered well enough to rebuild his restaurant and pub, while continuing with his hobby or rebuilding VW engines.

A very humble man, but such an inspiration.
