A day of relaxation

Another day of glorious weather. It started with a walk with Bertie and I chose a favourite which gave us wide open views northwards, taking in the islands of Coll, Canna, Rum, Muck, Eigg and Skye as well as the hills of Uist very faintly on the horizon. No photograph could do it justice so I just gazed and drank it in.
Back home, Nick and I enjoyed coffee and delicious cake with our neighbours before I set off for lunch at a local restaurant with three friends, one of whom is 91 years old, sharp as a needle and keeps the rest of us on our toes. There was no arguing with her about who was going to pay the bill so we gave in gracefully and voiced our appreciation.
Baking a sponge for a weekend treat and a second walk with Bertie filled the afternoon before enjoying a cocktail in the sunshine before our evening meal.
