“Those who fish get to know and understand a river in a way few others can.” —W.D. WetherellWHubby caught a legal size Black Sea Bass in the river today. It was a first. The bass is in his right hand (called  black wills around here or just "willis" as we call them). We have caught many but always to small. He has caught them in the ocean as well, very tasty fish. We also kept a nice mess of 12" perch and a few even bigger. It was a lot of fun when there were 2 fish on our light tackle rods. It was a bit more breezy then I like when we first went out but it moderated after a while. Can't catch them from the couch!  These are the days I dreamed about all the years I had to work and watch the fisherman motor by. Turned out to be a very nice trip. Hope your day was nice as well.
