Hibiscus

This beauty is growing in my cousin's dining room here in Seattle. I had no idea they would grow here, but if anyone could get them to grow it it would be her. 

I had my still life painting class today and I'm using oil paints which I haven't used since my twenties. I love them, so we'll see where this goes. I have a lot of time to fill between now and my surgery on December 23. So glad to have a date.
