Culture Fragment
I signed up to the “Southside Public Art Trail” a few weeks ago, and nearly pulled out today, my photo project being so dismally in arrears. But it was well worth going, our guide was fascinating, with lots of background on the technical and bureaucratic aspects of each artwork and public art in Canberra generally. I also learned the term for the street art I shared with you yesterday (paste-up), and we spent a lot of time admiring my favourite piece in the town square (I’m sure I’ll be sharing again and give you the deets then).
I was also giving my “new” (second-hand) camera a spin (without reading the manual, so the date was wrong, and I couldn’t work out how to use the viewfinder - although I’ve solved that problem now, and worked out the wifi).
Three hours later my brain was a bit haywire with hayfever, but it was so worth it! My favourite pic was this one of our guide expounding on David Jensz’s Culture Fragment
But now, my iPad batteries and my own have run out so it’s off to bed…
