Mums in the Rain

I was on the verge of heading out for coffee and a walk when the heavens opened with lightning and thunder overhead;  I stayed put!

A pot of chrysanthemums viewed through the kitchen windows glowed in the rain, so I grabbed the camera ... it could have been my only chance for a Flower Friday. For interest and experimentation I tried some double exposures with in-focus mums overlaid with in-focus water drops on the window.  The in-camera attempts didn't quite work, but I was pleased with this one composed in Photoshop.

As for my walk, the afternoon was glorious and I enjoyed a visit to Savill Garden to see the Surrey Sculpture Society exhibition.
