Is it? ...

Last evening we were sorting through a collection of buttons and bits that came with a little old sewing box.. amongst it we found this.. 
we are pretty excited.. it 'might' be a diamond.. not small either! Today we took it with us to visit the local jeweller to see if he could shed some light on it for us. The only test we feel puts it into the diamond league is that it scored the bottom of a bottle.. rather easily.. hmm. 
Sadly the jeweller was closed today so the suspense will have to be on hold till monday when hopefully we will find an open jeweller. 
A lovely talk today at Wichford potter by Alys Fowler.. she was very inspiring and we came away having visited their bulb fest there too. Fun morning. 
Now we are heading out a supper club.. whooppee no cooking for me!
