Ardglass Harbour
I am still pursuing my fisheries project and today I went to another fishing harbour, Ardglass. Being a dull day and also a week end it was quiet and my reason for visiting was for reconnoissance purposes. I will go back on a week day when it's more active. I was surprised to find about a dozen trawlers and I even smelt fish, something I didn't experience in Kilkeel or Portavogie, so perhaps it is still commercially viable. A local told me the trawlers were mainly for fishing prawns. My photograph does look uninteresting, but I am intrigued and curious about the sign "EC Log Sheets" and its why I took the image.
The UK as we know has left the EC, but Northern Ireland is still bound by rules relating to the Single Market. I wonder how this effects the industry.
