Carfizzi, Calabria

A long way up on a mountain top, multiple switchbacks on narrow roads, random mini-mudslides blocking half the road, and being overtaken on uphill blind bends - welcome to driving up to see the village of Carfuzzi, alla Italia.
For all that, a lovely sunny day, and a top spot up top - with views to the sea across 180+ degrees, mountain-pure fresh air and very little noise and haste - apart from the tiny fruit and veg truck struggling up the stupidly steep roads to resupply the alimentari.
Could be a lot worse.
