Celebratory Saturday

We walked along the Thames this morning, through Isleworth and on to Syon Park where we enjoyed tea and a scone in the sunshine. Andy was able to show me a number of places his dad had frequented particularly to paint or enjoy a drink and a chat. The route took us past this dry berth which had a number of slightly dilapidated boats. This one looked quite smart but the name - A Little Desperate - made us laugh.

This afternoon the family gathered to commemorate Andy’s dad who would have been 100 years old today.
