First Timer

It is not often I get to wear a First Timer hat (figuratively, not literally) these days.

Today was one of those days.

After almost 2 years of Parkrunning I took my courage in both hands and headed for the Dunfermline course this morning. It has a reputation.

Hills.

The reputation is justified. It is a beast.

I paced myself well and did not feel like ending it all until the 6th (and last) uphill section. But I kept running (slowly).

It must be a delightful course on a sunny day - Pittencrieff Park is very pleasant (unless you have to run up the hills) and then you have the Abbey and Palace at one end.

As is obvious from my Blip, I did not get a sunny day to reward me for my efforts. Foggy. Cloudy. Grey. Damp.

No football today... Spiders were playing Ayr in Glasgow but after last week's adventures I decided to give it a miss. They will be playing in Dunfermline next week.
