Reflections on Art

Went to Kew today, mainly to see the exhibits from Marc Quinn.

A few pieces were made of highly polished stainless steel, and because it was an overcast and showery day there were plenty of colourful clothes to wait for in a reflection. I'd been pleased to get a red coat reflected when this couple came along with their rainbow umbrella. Perfect opportunity  :-). Genuinely cropped with no other post processing.

The pieces themselves were mainly large sculptures of leaves or flowers. Information boards prompted you to consider the symbolism of their importance, or their appearance as seen by insects. Like any object you can of course bring your own interpretation unless you need ideas from the info notes.
The metal working skills were excellent and in strange contrast to his paintings, which generally seemed to be working sketches rather than finished pieces.
