When we travel away I always try to do a few sketches of where we are. I find it helps to understand where we happen to be. It involves a bit of research, a lot of looking & listening & a bit of patience. So here’s Mousehole Harbour. Condensed to show the boats, the cottages, the storage of boards, the long lines of ropes radiating from the harbour walls and St Clemente’s Island. It is said that a hermit once lived there. Local boys would swim out to the island and back as a rite of passage.
