Jen and Torsa
We met Jen and Torsa along the path to Ardkenish Bay Beach, a 5 mile round trip walk to this beautiful and remote beach. Jen owns the local gift and art shop on the isle of Colonsay. Torsa, her dog is named after a "wee island" nearby. We walked into the ocean all the way up to our ankles. It seems that cold water swimming is very popular in the UK. Gina and I find that the ocean temps at Wrightsville Beach very comfortable in the summer and fall, thank you.
This afternoon we heard two bands, repeats from yesterday. Malin Lewis Trio and Fras. After Fras' set, they were joined in by many of the musicians that performed over the weekend for the annual finale.
The extra shows part of the 100 member audience waiting for the second set to begin. During the breaks, the local restaurant, The Pantry supplies Scottish pies while beer is served upstairs in the bar. The man in the foreground of the extra showed a film he made (fringe fest). He designed and constructed the only electric fishing boat in the world and is promoting it throughout the UK.
