Autumn shades
I noticed that today's offering from the kiln matches the early leaves, fallen from the elm. I might be motivated to give them a light polish and gild the rims faintly. D is very pleased with the large bowl and has laid clain to it. I think it's the largest I have managed to fire successfully, actually, any larger and it would be too wide for my tiny kiln. I mostly used iron oxides, time and rutile. The glaze is just a very thin transparent which should be enough to seal the surface.
