The long drop

Rock climbing from the heights of Mount York, NSW A sheer drop to the floor of Hartley Vale. This was very close to the site where Cox's road was driven through seemingly impossible terrain to carry the road from the Blue Mountains to the west. We spent an exciting few hours being shown more of this wonderful district by the two Hobbs ; this area was overwhelming in its impact, so rich was it in its historical context.
