Fowey
It didn’t really rain today which was a relief. We wandered around Lostwithiel and explored the intriguing old buildings relating to its history ie the medieval capital of Cornwall and the seat of a stannery parliament.
After breakfast we headed to Fowey which was more interesting than we had remembered. It was also less busy than a previous trip. After this we walked around a nearby Pinetum Garden with a number a different gardens inside. I am not sure if we found the deciduous pine that was discovered on travels abroad in the 1940’s and had previously been thought to have been extinct. A good day out. Now to head out for an evening meal.
