I was going to say up early but the alarm always goes off at 7. Old habits and anyway, I quite like it. But off early, 8, to Dundee to install some shelves at the boy's before we headed off to Scone. (Or is it pronounced scone?). The installation had to be done before leaving because it involved drilling and you wouldn't want to be doing that with timid wee cats in the house. And that's what was in Scone. Yes, he's rehoming two (two!) ragdoll cats. Fool.
After Scone to Perth to have a look at the second-hand record shops. Google said three but it looks like only one survives and it seems to have survived by pricing to match the current popularity of vinyl (ie expensive) and diversification. New and secondhand music, comics, books, football fanzines and programmes, stamps and postcards. The CDs were reasonable (though not as reasonable as the Cancer Research shop - 5 for £1 - though most of it shite). So, a couple of Beths, Laura Marling and a Ricky Ross, whose 1995 solo efforts are more Del Amitri than Deacon Blue.
