Thank goodness for the School Walk
I used to drive Hendrix and Buddy to school, before the Bella and Hetty came to live with us last April. It was a nightmare in that it was not very far, just short of a mile, but it would take us 10 minutes to drive there because of the stop/start traffic.
This stationary queue of cars went beyond the roundabout, which our house overlooks, and disappears around the bend. Regular, and school, buses don't help of course.
The girls and I really enjoy the walk to school, although they usually bike it in dry weather and if we've had rain, or it is raining, they take their scooters. Today it was raining, not as hard as yesterday, or the day before when we had all of that rolling thunder, but plenty enough to keep the footpath puddles topped up, and keeping the playing fields like marshes.
And yes, I do enjoy the walk despite my tongue-in-cheek moan about being a beast of burden with the bags and bottles a few blips ago HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
