Felt a lot better today so I headed down to the village this afternoon - it was raining heavily so a brolly was needed.

First stop was the chemists to pick up the rest of my tablets as they didn't have the full amount last Friday.  There was quite a long wait so I sat down.  I hoped some other customers would come in so I could get my Mono Monday blip - " people from a low angle ". Fortunately this Mam and her two children obliged.  Thanks to Carolina for hosting the challenge.

Did the usual shopping in Herons and Tesco and also picked up a couple of parcels.  Still raining heavily as I walked home.

I had a message inviting me to book an appointment for a Covid jab so I went online and got one for 3 weeks time.  

The only other thing to report also concerns the weather.  Newcastle were due to play in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night - an away game against Wimbledon.  Match has been cancelled due to the Wimbledon pitch being damaged by rain.... see Extra.  No chance of any games being played there in the near future so the Cup match is now to be played at Newcastle's ground next week.
