Henrietta Takes to the Trees

There was no shortage of people here today and if I had had the nerve, I could easily have taken pictures of them from below because Pedro and his guys were here digging behind the retaining wall looking for a leak. But I didn't want to be pointing a camera at them when they were working so hard. We only became aware of the leak when we noticed a stream of very green grass flowing down the front lawn. The Leak has been narrowed down to the irrigation and not the pipes to the house but the pump is running all the time and there are still a lot of buried pipes back there. I have faith in Pedro. I'm sure he'll figure it out.

It's been one of those days where every time I sit down to write this entry someone else comes to the door. We've had Gail and her sister-in-law and brother who came to harvest more figs and visit for awhile. Then Karina, our lovely neighbor came to the door with home baked cookies. She's been gone all summer so it was nice to see her again. Then Cindy our other lovely neighbor came by with her basset hound Hazel who loves to visit. She wasn't expecting to see Blake here and we weren't sure how they would do together, but we stuck all three dogs outside and they had a good time checking out the open holes and the few remaining veggies in the garden.

Now we need to go and see to Jim and Dana's cats...the 20 year old Delilah and the three-legged Sassy. Delilah will be missing Jim because she basically lives on his desk. They both come with their own set of instructions, so we need to get over there, check on them and feed them.
Dana is in Mexico and Jim is in Atlanta, but they will both be back on Wednesday.
