Highland Cattle
Another backblip!
I spent the weekend down in Devon near Cullompton where my friend L lives.
It was a special time as another L, a very old friend too, was visiting from Melbourne Australia. She and I used to share a flat with F in London over 50 years ago. I then went to South Africa with F where we met the first L who was originally from Dorset and later the two L's and F went to Australia! F and the second L stayed there and had families. The last time I saw Aussie L was 17 years ago. (See if you can untangle that!). Nothing as precious as old friendships, we just carried on where we left off.
While we were there we went for a walk in the park at Killerton House and saw the above Highland Cattle. Killerton House was once the home of the Acland family until 1944 when Sir Richard Dyke Acland gave the estate to the National Trust as being a large land owner did not fit with his political ideas.
Extra: the entrance to Killerton House and the two friends
