Latin Quarter, Galway.

Not sure why they call it the Latin Quarter, the university is over the river. Seems like a recent invention, like calling Limerick part of "Ireland's Ancient East" and they had to change it to "Hidden Heartlands" because obviously Ancient East shouldn't extend to one of Ireland's western cities.  Anyway, this was getting close to drinking time \o/ 

I have to say, since I was last here, this part of town has become verrrry touristy. Up there with Temple Bar with all the fake Oirish tat.
