Wemyss Ware Pig

This is a Wemyss Ware Pig in the fascinating, small museum at the House of Marbles at Bovey Tracy in Devon. Pottery bearing the Wemyss name and using some of the original Wemyss moulds was manufactured here from 1930 using clay from Devon and Cornwall.. The now defunct Wemyss Pottery was located in Fife. The museum, and the House of Marbles, are well worth a visit if you are in that area.
