Threepenny Bits
My worries that yesterday's BT/EE arrangements may come unravelled came true today. When cancelling our Broadband contract, they also cancelled our land-line facility (because it's on their Digital Voice system and works through the broadband router). Today has been spent getting the land-line back but first of all they gave us a new number. Many phone calls ensued getting our old number back.
Searching for a Blip I found these Threepenny (3d) pieces (bits). A lovely 12 sided coin that ceased to be legal tender after 31 August 1971 (the year we decimalised). The plant is a Thrift plant - quite fitting for a coin as being thrifty is 'being careful of your money and how you spend it'.
