Duomo di Amalfi. Cattedrale di Saint’Andrea
The cathedral is dedicated to the Apostle St. Andrew whose relics are kept here.
A very strange day which started off promising adventure and exploration. We left Sorrento on time but the sea was not playing after the incredible storm through the night. Landing in Positano was different to say the least. We had to wait for ages to get close and then when told, had to run the gauntlet with Poseidon. Getting back on was pretty much the same but after waiting over an hour on the quayside in the baking sun I didn’t care how wet I got. All in all time to go to the loo and join the queue to leave. Nobody’s fault and to be fair half an hour was enough for me. I kept expecting the Prisoner to appear being followed by a Rover. (Apologies if you are under 60 reading this).
Amalfi was stunning but instead of the 3 hours we just had time for a quick lunch and dash around. I would love to go back and see what we wanted to see.
