It's Not Too Bad ....
.... once you are in.
The sanderling at the back is not convinced.
We are down in Studland Dorset for a few days. I think this is likely to be our best day weatherwise. We had a pleasant walk along the beach. I loved these little birds, though they wouldn't fly for me, preferring to run at speed along the sand. A couple more extras from our walk. I liked The Needles (I think) in the background. We didn't get as far as the naturist beach.
After the horrible rain yesterday it has been a much nicer sunny day and the 3 hour drive down was fine, though a bit tedious. Strange to believe I used to do this journey regularly when I was working, with lots of customers to see in Poole and Southampton. Usually there and back in a day.
The hotel is interesting. Our room is in a motel like section where I could drive the car up to the door to unload our bags. It is very dog friendly too, with a separate 'doggy dining' area in the restaurant. Not that we have a dog of course.
The bad weather yesterday resulted in me reluctantly cancelling the camera club meeting. I gave the speaker the option of switching to Zoom which he declined, but I left it to him whether it went ahead and he opted for a postponement. Not sure in hindsight whether we overreacted. I don't think the cancellation went down too well, I may have to offer my resignation as programme secretary :-)
