Mr. W's Afternoon Adventure

Day two in Dutch Harbor, with refueling and extra provisions being loaded on board.

After lunch, Mr. W decided to have a "leg stretch" before we set sail again later this afternoon.  Off he went, my camera in hand, and came back with these rather alarming mementos of his journey!  Thankfully he did not topple off the dangerous cliffs or become subsumed in a mud slide.  All those harbor seals (at least six if not more of them) were cavorting on a large mooring across the harbor from our ship.  They certainly seemed to be having a wonderful time biting each other and vying for "King of the Hill" status!

Speaking of bunkering, I thought it was very amusing to see that they were featuring "Dynamite Shrimp" on today's lunch menu ... I did ask the waiter if he thought it was a good idea to have them around while we were refueling!!!

Extra:  Mrs. W holding down the fort as she waves farewell to her intrepid hiker.
