Dubrovnik
I was up at least 6 times on the night. Turns out 3 others were also. We managed to get out room until 1pm so I was able to snooze on and off till then.
It was raining heavily so we didn’t regret not getting ourselves into the old town again. It’s about 1/2 an hour on the bus. So I stayed in the hotel and read my book and snoozed.
The blip is a collage of Dubrovnik. Some of the group went down today and said it was so busy with tour groups they had to fight their way through them. I can understand why it’s so popular as it is beautiful but I have no wish to return as it’s just too busy to be comfortable.
The transport to the airport got us there 3.5 hours early for our 8.50 flight. Once through passport control there’s no coffee or any facilities. The flight was fine and arrived on time at 10.40 but there was a problem attaching the walkway. After 40 minutes waiting we got steps and buses to take us 30 yards! Then we had to wait for the bags so missed the last Piccadilly line. We are now on the Elizabeth line which only goes as far as Paddington so we’ll get an Uber from there to our friends in Hackney.
