July Challenge - Wood

For the wood challenge today - my subject is a 12 in x 12 in (30 cm x 30 cm) wood carving I did back in 1984. What made this much more unique is the wood used I created in a sawmill I built in ... well, last century! It was a piece from one of the largest diameter logs I sawed. I used other portions to create carvings that were placed in tables for gifts.

The sawmill is long gone, but the memories and a few photos exits.
