Tiny 'shroom
A last minute urge for a walk and fresh air after the recent days of seemingly endless rain had me heading for RHS Wisley. Making the decision to "travel light", all I took was the camera with macro lens and mini tripod. It was a good decision for me, and I had a lovely walk spotting fungi and autumn flora.
This was one of the last spots of the day, a tiny fungus growing up through the stones in the rock garden. I haven't a clue what it is despite the number of reference books I own (including the "definitive reference" by Roger Phillips) - it seems the more I buy, the harder it gets to identify them!
