Whack a mole

We had a drive out to freshwater Lake Kournas today, with the promise of seeing lots of wildlife and some diamondback terrapin.

We saw lots of tourists, pédalos and cafes and not so much wildlife. We hired a pédalo (obligatory) and had some much needed exercise peddling super fast when we spotted a tell tale head above water as shown.

It was a bit like the childhood game in the title, but no whacking was involved.
