Half Done.
Our 2 year old granddaughter (Freya) asked to turn over the stones in the garden to look for bugs (minibeasts). Slightly strange request maybe but Grandpa complied. We saw worms, ants, and wood lice, and then I saw this, which I have never seen before - a woodlouse moulting.
Apparently, when they grow too big for their exo skeleton, they shed half of it one day followed by the other half the following day. (If you look closely you can see where the other half is ready to be shed.) So, I caught this one halfway through the process. I may never see another one of course.
