Look at those legs!
Apart from the odd Robin, a few Sparrows and one or two Woodpigeons, the garden has been almost empty of birds for a week or two, then from yesterday, the usual suspects started to return - Collared Doves, Blackbirds, Starlings - and most excitingly, a Chiffchaff. I suspect it was after green or black fly in the plum tree to fuel itself for its migratory journey. It wasn’t easy to capture as it was flitting about, and turned its head just as I pressed the shutter. but such a clear view of those dark legs, which distinguish it from a Willow Warbler.
