This is the 51st State of the U.S.A.

Although it is 2 months from my birthday, tonight the 3 of us headed into town to see "The The" at the Usher Hall, a present for my last birthday! They've just released their first album since 2000 and they performed that in the first set, then their older stuff in the second set. The blip was during their song "Heartland" which is about Maggie Thatcher's government and USA's increasing influence over it. It was a great night, we all enjoyed it, interestingly Ms H came across them via another rabbit hole, and I do love it when our musical tastes regularly overlap
