Wednesday: Packing Up

Today was the big pack up.  The team got here around 08.15 and they’ve done a great job.  They’ve packed tightly and very neatly.  Infinitely better than our move to Croatia some years ago when we found two burnt out matches wrapped in swathes of paper……

They didn’t finish today so will be back tomorrow for the rest.

On all our previous assignments it’s always felt quite sad, taking down pictures and emptying out our home of the last few years.  I can honestly say that here, we have felt nothing.  The house has never felt like home.
