When You Can't See The Barriers For The Trees
We popped back to The King's Head at Sutton Valence for some lunch today - three delicious small plates of honey glazed pigs in blankets, chicken bites and croquettes - and as usual the food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly.
On the way back we decided to stop off at Teston Bridge Country Park for some fresh air and a stroll. It was pretty quiet and it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves apart from the odd dog walker.
Today's main shot was taken next to the ongoing and rather invasive refurbishment to the nearby sluice who's barriers and workings the company carrying out the work have attempted to disguise, not entirely successfully, behind some temporary mesh fencing imprinted with forest scenes. I just liked how abstract it looked.
The extra is of the adventure playground, with its very own pirate ship, in a different part of the park that has a somewhat melancholy feeling of abandonment now that kids have gone back to school.
