Sit with it

My cousin posted the text in extras on social media earlier today and it really resonated with me.

Too often we will take unnecessary action where a more contemplative approach of allowing things to settle would have been more appropriate.

It put me in mind of one of my favourite film quotes (Sound of Metal):

"The world does keep moving, and it can be a damn cruel place. But for me, those moments of stillness, that place, that's the kingdom of God". 

So, laid on my back on my bed and staring up through the skylight, I spent a few moments of stillness just watching the clouds pass through.
