Busy morning, starting with a cheeky jolt of joy - coffee at the local patisserie - then scuttling around getting bread, picking up a pair of new trainers (more joy!) that should have been delivered yesterday.. Home to do things that seemed important at the time, but escape my memory entirely now. Off to Greenwich for school pickup, all well, K tired, F full of energy. Back to theirs for homework - as they get older this is less of a torture than it used to be. I made a rather good lasagne (I thought).. We had planned on staying over, but all was quiet and C was back from New York so we were able to get back. Brutal drive in the dark with bursts of torrential rain but good to be home.
