This day

Plain sailing

Was in Oban today and decided to have lunch in a small bistro. I entered the place and was the only one there probably because I was running a bit ahead of actual lunchtime. However the music was blaring like a 70s disco! I asked the tattooed waitress ( I was expecting to read the menu on her ample chest) if she could turn the music down. honestly you would have thought I had kicked a puppy! the face on her, she did finally turn it down a semitone.  I then headed to superdrug to buy a bar of Pears soap (what is it with soap now all you can get is that god forsaken Dove one) and there too the damn music  was blaring it took me back to my younger days going to clatty Patties on Great Western Road in Glasgow. Why do establishments feel the need to have blaring awful musak or that horrible Jeremy Vile on radio 2. IF  I want to listen to music I would prefer it to be my own choice and at a level that doesnt burst my eardrums!
