Dawber Garden

This afternoon, once it had finally stopped raining, I decided to go out for a walk and look for something different to take photos of. I walked up through the Arboretum and along a street at the top that I hadn't walked along before, as far as I can remember. I walked to the castle, through the grounds and out the back gate to where The Lawn area is. There's a hotel there, some restaurants, other businesses and the grounds, including this garden, which are for public use. 

It is a small but very pretty and these days well tended garden, with many things to look at. This pond is my blip for today. The light wasn't great so I'll go back on a sunnier day and see if I can get some better shots.

When I left the house I left my purse at home - deliberately, so I would wait until I was home before eating and avoid falling prey to buying pretty things I can't afford from uphill shops!
