Lee Millers’s House

We saw the film Lee, about the photojournalist Lee Miller at the Sydney Film Festival in June and immediately booked a visit to the house that she and her husband and artist Ronald Penrose owned.

The day started out sunny and we travelled to Sussex in hope of a nice day.

As we arrived in Lewes it poured and we sheltered in a pizza express.

The only way of seeing the house is in a guided tour - no photographs.

The house was an ode to Ronald Penrose and very beautiful but I had hoped for more about Lee Miller who has been a favourite photographer of mine for years.
