Hotel

Not a good day.  First, we had a two plus hour drive to go the 46 miles from Limekiln to Glasgow Airport.  Hertz has charged 35 pounds for cleaning a matte in the rental car.  They also charged 3 pounds to bring the electric car up to 90%.  Boo Hertz.  Then after arriving at GLA, we were informed that our American Airlines flight from London to the U.S. was cancelled and that we had to fly tomorrow.  Not indication what we were to do in terms of staying overnight.  Only after a conversation with them that we were given a hotel room and two meals.  We had to wait an hour for a crappy bus to take us to the hotel.

We did meet a couple from our neighborhood (that we didn't know) who were in the same situation.  We enjoyed spending dinner with them.

The Airline rep said that they cancelled the flight basically because they had no plane and it was easy for them to do.  British Airways cancelled a flight from Heathrow to Glasgow upon our arrival to London on 6 September, and we were never given an explanation.  Let's hope things go better tomorrow.
