Drumroy
Another invigorating Dava Walk today - this time near the southern end of Lochindorb, deserted apart from a small flock of sheep and an even smaller covey of black grouse.
The name Drumroy aptly means the reddish brown ridge - the extra shows the croft from the south - the low wall by the rowan tree is the remains of a sheep fold.
Our walk was curtailed a little beyond Drumroy by the impossibility of crossing the ford where the Ault na Calich - Burn of the Old Woman or Witch crosses the track. This burn is also known as Allt Loch an t-Sithein which translates as burn of the Fairies'Hill Loch. There is a Fairies' Hill close by - there are several dotted about the moor.
