The waiting room
I took a volunteer driver booking today for Chobham Care to take an elderly lady from the village to Ashford Hospital where she was due to have an MRI scan. The scanner is in a large portakabin type structure rather than in the main Imaging Department. This is a picture taken from the tiny waiting area. I wasn't sure the proliferation of urgent-looking notices on the door was the most effective form of communication. However, it was all pretty efficient and she was back out in a quarter of an hour or so. She then insisted we had a coffee in the hospital snack bar off the entrance foyer, which was probably just as well as it was raining on and off at the time and, when it was 'on', it was quite a downpour. I managed to get her into the car during a respite from the rain and return her safely back to Chobham. She is a very chatty lady, who, coincidentally, knew my wife from a church group (her husband was the vicar) when she lived in Sidcup, before I knew her myself. Small world.
