Fallen

The heavy rain today caused these black gum leaves to fall and they landed in a deck chair. I like them! (even though I will be sweeping the deck and raking the leaves that will be in the yard)

It rained heavily all day. Streets at various places are flooding around Columbia where Brett lives with some road and bridge closures. We haven’t even gotten the hurricane rain yet. This was rain that came from the west and is meeting up with the first outer bands of the storm. The North Carolina mountains are really getting swamped. I saw a picnic area that is a place we visit sometimes when we go to Tates which was underwater except for the very top of a picnic table. Tate is on high ground even though the creek at his house will overflow for sure. I will be checking on Mariyah in a bit as she is probably just leaving her work.

It is going to be a long night here as the worst is going to hit us after midnight.
