Wound up in Wexford

The top row

Interesting visitor to our bedroom in the early hours of this morning.  I was still reading, W was asleep, when I was aware of something flying around the room - turned out to be another bat.  They're quite eerily quiet (I suppose if I could hear their squeaks, I wouldn't be saying that), but unlike birds or moths, they don't blunder around, hitting lights and windows.

The chimney is now totally blocked - a balloon up it, and the electric fire fitted snuggly into the fireplace.  But we do have a couple of open windows.  Hopefully he has departed by the same route he arrived!  I haven't seen him "hanging around" during the day.

Yesterday, the cleaner gave my sewing room a good vacuum and dust.  So today, W and I moved the bed into there.  Some cleaning now needed in the vacant spot in the book room.

I planned the last bit of stitching of the hexagons for the top row of the latest project, and took a photo of the plan.  I did the actual stitching at the sewing group in the afternoon.   I say sewing group - only two of us turned up today - but it was a VERY wet day,

Once the stitching was done I laid out the pieces.  The instructions were I believe written as a Block of the Month program, so are split into parts.  That's Part 1 finished.  There are 3 more parts, each one another row, then Part 5 is the finishing.

This evening, I've started on the embroidery for the second row.
