I wasn’t required at the RSPB today so on Tuesday I made the spontaneous decision to see if I could visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It is one of the few grounds in the 92 I haven’t visited and I thought a Europa League game against a team from Azerbaijan would give me the best chance of getting a ticket.

Needless to say it is a bit different from what I am used to but I was very impressed with the ground. Spurs won comfortably despite having a player sent off after 7 minutes although I’m not sure how the visitors failed to score.

Bizarrely I was walking to Kings Cross when I bumped into my nephew and his girlfriend in a completely unplanned encounter.
