a gold thimble…

thimble collection

i have indulged in posting - a number of my - thimbles on many occasions - over the years - some silver, some with jewels - some plain and some ornate - some have been shaped - in the form of - animals and others have - simply been rather eclectic - but i have never - shown off my gold one

it took me a while - to find it because - they’re not all - that common and/or necessarily - in decent condition - sometimes it can be difficult - to determine if they’re - truly antique or not - since people sometimes wish - for you to think something - that is not - so in the world of antiquities - one must be especially careful

while this one isn’t - in the most pristine condition - (it has a few dings) - it dates to around 1880-1920 - in and of itself - that makes me smile - puts joy in my heart - and makes this a wonderful - tiny addition to my collection - of thimbles which definitely makes it…
